Split set

The split set are considered the simplest form of ground support. They are an easy to install fortification system used for rock reinforcement in Underground Mining.

This underground support system works by friction and offers immediate support. Consist of a longitudinally grooved tube which is inserted into a borehole by applying impact energy. The borehole diameter it is slightly smaller than the outer diameter of the bolt tube.

When it’ is inserted into a smaller hole, forces appear against the walls of the hole that generate a frictional resistance along the entire length of the bolt.

Application and advantages

This reinforcement system is usually combined with other underground support systems when the ground quality is not consistent.

This econimical, automated, easy and safe installation provides immediate support load.

**This is mainly used for temprary work and should not be used whereis tremendously fractured or weak.
